An Afternoon out with Mommy and Daddy

Today mommy and daddy took me up a very pretty canyon with a waterfall. I liked being out in my stroller; however I didn't like it when mommy put my toes in the cold water. It was so nice outside and I like it when we do things together as a family.

I played a trick on mommy!

Today I played a big trick on mommy. She thought I didn't know how to climb up the stairs yet so she left me downstairs playing by myself while she ran up the the bathroom for just a minute. When she came out of the bathroom she found me climbing up the stairs all by myself. I scared her good! Ha Ha. Now my trick is ruined though because mommy and daddy put up a gate to block my way. Tonight they let me practice though, but this time I had help. They wouldn't let me do it on my own.

I like helping

I have decided that helping mommy and daddy with the dishes is fun, so I learned how to climb up onto the dishwasher. Look what a good helper I am.

My after-doctor treat

On Monday I went to the doctor for my nine-month checkup. He said that I'm doing great and now weigh 18 lb. 7 oz. In fact I was so brave that the doctor gave me a sucker. Mommy let me try it yesterday. This was my first experience with a sucker. I started chewing first on the wrong side, but soon figured out where the sugar was!

Fun at the Park

Today mommy took me to the park. I had fun trying everything out. I had so much fun that I took a two hour nap when I got home.

I loved the slide.

The tunnel was lots of fun to crawl through!

I am nine months old!


In honor of me turning 9 months old mommy and daddy thought they'd list some things they love about me.

1. My smile. They say it lights up my entire face.
2. Making me laugh. They think it's so cute and funny to listen to.
3. The way I am excited to see them in the morning. They love getting me up.
4. Watching me learn new things. They say I'm determined and try hard.
5. I look like a bird with my mouth open when I am eating waiting for more food.
6. Going on outings like swimming or to the park with me. They like watching me get excited and happy.
7. Sharing me with family and watching me with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
8. Reading to me at night. I love my stories with daddy.
9. Mommy and daddy love just playing with me.

My new trick

Since I am crawling now, I like to go all over the house. My favorite stop is the stairs. I can't get up them yet, but it's fun to pull myself up onto my knees and try. Mommy and daddy already have a fence to block the stairs; I guess at the rate I'm going, they'll need to put it up soon.

I Did It!

Tonight, after trying for over a month I crawled! It was hard work, but I finally did it!
